Day 1: Arrival of the participants in the early afternoon in Tricarico (MT) a city defined as Arab-Norman, an ancient town located in the heart of internal Lucania, rich in monuments and the protagonist of a millenary history, intertwined, on the one hand, with the diocese of which it has been based since the tenth century, and, on the other, with the culture of the people who populated. Guided tour following the numerous testimonies of the most important dominations in Southern Italy, not to be missed the famous pictorial cycles of P.A. 16th century iron that embellish the numerous churches and convents of the city. Continuation to the hotel in the Ionian area, arrangement of the rooms, overnight stay.
Day 2: Breakfast at the hotel, departure for the beautiful village of Miglionico (MT) guided tour of the church of Santa Maria Assunta where it is kept the famous polyptych by Cima da Conegliano together with other important works and well-preserved canvases and the wooden Crucifix by Frate Umile da Petralia, a work of art with an extraordinary charm and already blessed by John Paul II. Visit to the castle known as "of bad advice" where, through the multimedia visit "The conspiracy of the barons", visitors will be immersed in what happened at the famous dinner that had this castle as its protagonist against King Ferdinand I of 'Aragona the Elder, King of Naples. Stop to taste the famous dried figs stuffed with local spices, the pride of the country's cuisine. Lunch in a farmhouse, afternoon in Matera for a guided tour of the famous stone districts "I sassi" walk in the heart of the tuff districts to admire the landscape dotted with caves and rock churches, with the suggestive views from Piazzetta Pascoli and Piazza Duomo, and then again a visit to a peasant house, and gradually in a fascinating journey through alleys and ancient houses carved into the stone. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight
Day 3: Breakfast at hotel and departure for a guided tour of Pisticci (MT), a town from its origins Greek, and famous for its beautiful historic center made up of terraced “casedde”, a typical example of peasant architecture, and inserted in the most beautiful historic centers of Italy. Visit of the Mother Church, of a pottery workshop, and tasting of local bakery products, lunch at the hotel, afternoon departure for the return journey.
